You, as a member and part owner, have a say in everything that goes on at WCRI. As a member, you have unlimited opportunities to represent your concerns and opinions as well as being entitled to vote for the Board of Directors each term. You are also given the chance to decide on WCRI policies and activities by getting involved in committees, applying for a management position, or even running for the Board of Directors yourself!! Also, WCRI offers an abundance of services for you to take advantage of. These advantages come with certain responsibilities:
  • Become active in WCRI by attending meetings, joining committees, and genuinely supporting our community.
  • Become informed about WCRI by reading reports and publications, and conversing with directors, division management, and employees.
  • Abide by the rules and policies of WCRI.
  • Take advantage of WCRI's services and encourage others to participate.
  • Contribute labour as required.
  • Pay your accounts promptly.
  • Vote in elections for the Board of Directors (and remove directors if necessary).
  • Discuss and amend motions, resolutions and bylaws presented at General Meetings.
  • Vote on major changes in capitalization and in facilities owned by WCRI.

WCRI has Bylaws and Policies that are set out in such a way as to ensure that everyone living here can get along. More than 900 people can't be expected to live together without some master plan to ensure co-operation and consideration. Our plan is simple: treat your neighbours with the consideration you would expect from them. In general, any conduct that infringes on the rights of others or is disruptive or destructive is considered unacceptable.
