WHAT IS THE ALLOTMENT? WHAT ARE THE DEADLINES?

Initial allotment of accommodations begins just after the Seniority Deadline. Seniority deadlines are always:

March 1st for Fall terms,

October 1st for Winter terms, and

February 1st for Spring terms.

In the initial allotment we allot based on two factors - seniority and date of application:

Members who have lived at WCRI carry a number of terms of seniority and are given preference based on their seniority number compared to other applications for the same type of accommodation.

Date of application is used to prioritize applications with a similar number of terms of seniority and to prioritize those applications with no seniority. Preference is given to those with earlier application dates.

What if I missed the Seniority Deadline can I still apply?

If you apply after the seniority Deadline and you are a returning member, then your seniority will not count and allotment will be based on availability and/or wait lists.

If you receive an allotment, you will be required to submit a non-refundable Confirmation Deposit. If the deposit is submitted on time, you will receive a final allotment package, including an occupancy agreement (contract) and final payment instructions. Lastly if you have lived in another housing co-operative before you may be elligeble for terms of seniority.

SPRING TERM 2010
Seniority Deadline	February 1, 2010
Initial Allotment Mailout	February 10, 2010
Confirmation Deposit Due	March 3, 2010	The confirmation deposit is $300.
Final Allotment Mailout	March 17, 2010
Final Payment Deadline	April 7, 2010

FALL TERM 2010
Seniority Deadline	March 1, 2010
Initial Allotment Mailout	March 19, 2010
Confirmation Deposit Due	April 9, 2010	$300 except CCK whole apartments ($400).
Final Allotment Mailout	July 1, 2010
Final Payment Deadline	August 1, 2010
